For Nothing by Care Home:
The forthcoming 11 track album For Nothing will be released on the 25th April 2025. It’s been three years in the making and sees the band experiment with post-punk, krautrock, goth and no-wave influences as well as finessing the dark noise-rock leanings they’re currently known for. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in Bradford at Hohm Studios throughout the winter months of 2024 by Ross Halden and Tom Goodall (formerly of the band Cattle).
The first single ‘Lead The Weak’ was released in October last year accompanied by their first music video created by the band and filmed at their Leeds based rehearsal studio. A second unreleased track titled ‘Irreversible Seance’ will also be released on 03/03/25 via their Bandcamp.
“Insistent pulsing noise-rock with Sepulchral keyboards and the kind of percussive stabs normally found in modern classical music” – Andy Cairns (Therapy? / Jaww) on Lead The Weak.
The album artwork (right) is by the local artist Peter Mitchell, known for documenting Leeds and its surroundings for more than 40 years. The artwork was also recently exhibited at Leeds Art Gallery as part of a retrospective of Mitchell’s long standing career entitled ‘Nothing lasts forever’.
The album will be co-released with Bradford based promoters Endless Hum and marks their first official record release. The band will also play an album release show in Shipley, Bradford on Saturday 26th April with Toronto Blessings and Yorkshire Modular Society at Hullabaloo.

“Prescription Sleep is taught and persistent in the best possible way and the driving Loved At Home is frantic and angular. There’s alot to love here.” – Devolution Magazine
“Honestly, I think this lot get a little darker and little heavier everytime I see them. I don’t think this four piece know what a half-arsed performance looks like. Tracks like Irreversible Seance and Birthday Sex scratch an itch that other bands can’t reach.” – Louder Than War
“Absolutely top drawer.” – Aural Aggravation
FFO: The Jesus Lizard, Haunted Horses, Swans, Total Control, Diat, Joy Division, Ministry.
